I am a syntactician during working hours, and an intersectional environmentalist whenever else.

I am a second-year PhD student at the University of Maryland, College Park, and my advisors are Valentine Hacquard and Juan Uriagereka. Throughout my academic career, I had the chance to study at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, UCL and Cambridge and be taught by some amazing linguists (ranging all the way from hard-core minimalists to cartographers). I am interested in the syntax/semantics interface, the ways in which expressive meaning is reflected in syntax and, more generally, in what kinds of meaning can be represented and modelled syntactically. I specialise in Romance linguistics, with a focus on Abruzzese and Italian.

A shout-out to other members of my cohort: Imane Bou-Saboun, Eun-Kyoung Lee, Leslie Li, Luisa Seguin, Jack Ying and Xinchi Yu.
